Where we deliver — and where you can drive

Two different questions get asked here and they have different answers, so let's separate them.

Where can we get the car to you? Knoxville and the ring around it — plus McGhee Tyson Airport. Where can you drive it? Effectively anywhere. Those aren't the same radius, and any rental company that pretends otherwise is being slippery.

Knoxville and Knox County

Home base. Downtown, the Old City, Bearden, West Knoxville and Turkey Creek, Farragut, Halls, Powell, Fountain City, South Knoxville and the university area are all straightforward handoffs. If you're near campus, our UT rental page covers game weekends and move-in specifically.

Alcoa and Maryville

McGhee Tyson Airport is in Alcoa, about 12 miles south of downtown Knoxville, and airport pickup is enabled on every car in the fleet — so if you're flying in, the car meets you rather than the other way round. Maryville sits just past it, and Blount County traffic makes it an easy run. Details on the airport rental page.

Oak Ridge and Clinton

Oak Ridge is roughly half an hour northwest, and between ORNL and Y-12 there's a steady flow of people here on multi-week assignments who need a car without buying one. That commute is also exactly why we ask about mileage before a long booking — see the monthly rental page. Clinton is a little further up the same road.

Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg

Handoffs happen on the Knoxville end, but this is where a lot of our cars actually spend their week. Pigeon Forge is about 33 to 35 miles from Knoxville and Gatlinburg is six miles past it. There's no surcharge and no restriction on taking a car into Great Smoky Mountains National Park — the Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge guide covers drive times, whether you even need a car down there, and the park's parking-tag rules.

Lenoir City, Loudon and the lake

Southwest along I-75 and around Fort Loudoun and Tellico. Manageable, though a longer delivery is a conversation rather than a click — call or text and we'll tell you honestly whether it works.

Where you can take the car

Anywhere you'd reasonably drive. Guests have taken our cars to Nashville, Asheville, Chattanooga and up the Blue Ridge. There's no geographic lock and no "in-state only" clause. The only things to keep an eye on are:

• Mileage. Each listing includes a set number of miles with a per-mile rate beyond it. A Smokies week won't trouble it; a run to Florida and back might. Check before you book a long one.
• No off-roading. Standard across the fleet. Paved and maintained gravel roads are fine — the Cades Cove Loop, Foothills Parkway and Newfound Gap are all completely normal use.
• Return it where you got it. One-way drop-offs in another city aren't something we can do.

Why one page instead of twenty

You'll notice plenty of rental sites with a near-identical page for every small town within fifty miles. We're not doing that, because those pages exist to catch a search rather than to tell you anything, and you can spot one instantly.

This is the honest version: we're based in Knoxville, we'll come to you within a sensible radius, we'll meet you at the airport, and past that it's a phone call. If your town isn't named above, that's not a no — just ask.
