What is your cancellation policy?
Full refund if you cancel within 24 hours of booking. After that, a 75% refund for cancellations made more than 24 hours before pick-up. No refund for cancellations inside 24 hours of pick-up. The exact terms are shown on your booking confirmation.
Do I need a deposit to rent a car in Knoxville?
There's no traditional counter-style deposit. A 20% reservation deposit is charged when you book and goes toward your total; the balance is collected at pickup, and a refundable $500 authorization hold is placed on your card at the start of the trip and released when the car comes back in good condition.
Can I pay with a debit card?
Payment is by credit or debit card at checkout, in the renter's name. You'll pay a 20% reservation deposit to book and the balance at pickup.
What do I need to bring to the handoff?
A valid US-issued driver's licence, your own auto insurance card, and the card you booked with. That's it — no printed voucher, no counter paperwork, no upsell script.
How old do I have to be?
Drivers must be 21 or older with a valid US-issued licence and their own auto insurance that covers driving a rented vehicle.
Is insurance included?
You rent on your own auto insurance, so there is no protection plan sold at checkout. Not every personal auto policy covers a rented vehicle, so confirm your coverage with your insurer before you book. Bring your insurance card and licence to pickup. Can I take the car out of town or out of state?
Yes. Guests regularly drive to Gatlinburg, Nashville, Asheville and the Blue Ridge. Long out-of-state trips are fine — just tell us when you book so we can confirm it against your rental agreement. Mileage is 200 miles a day with $0.45 a mile over, so check the allowance before a long one. See our service area page for the full picture.
What happens if I'm running late bringing it back?
There's a 30-minute grace period on every booking, and beyond that you can extend online. If something has genuinely gone sideways, call or text (865) 309-4897 — being local means we can usually work with you.
Can you deliver the car instead of meeting up?
Usually, yes. Delivery within the Knoxville area and pickup at McGhee Tyson Airport are both available; the options and any fee appear at checkout when you book. Details on our airport rental page.
